Titus Bad Boy Ramp Deck Guide
Hello everyone, it has been a long time since we last published a deck guide. Today I will share the latest Titus Ramp deck I used to climb to masters. I will go over how to play it and while doing so will explain what is a ramp deck for players who need to become more familiar with the style. I don’t consider this deck as a top-tier deck but it is a competitive and fun deck to play in master or below ranks with a good win rate. I attached the deck code to the table below. So let’s begin!

What Do You Mean By Ramp?
If you never heard of ramp you are not alone. Most of the new card players are not familiar with the term because we generally use Aggro, Midrange, and Control words while describing a play style. Even though it is not one of the 3 main styles ramp is also a style we use in card games and it is a very interesting one. The basic aim is to simply increase your mana and play high-cost cards much more easily. By doing so it becomes easier to put our opponents in a hard situation where they can not answer our threats and we can win the game. Sounds fun right? Playing all those high-cost finishers early. Well, it is fun and it is also risky. You have a higher chance of having a high-cost bad hand or bad draws, and opponents may try to rush on you aggressively. But big risks come with big rewards. Now that we have a better understanding of what is the ramp, let’s check the deck.
Key Elements Of The Deck
Since we aim to increase our Mana and play high-cost units early we need a hero and cards that allow us to do this. It is possible to ramp with many heroes such as Lotus, but for this deck, we will take advantage of Titus’s hero ability and Strength strong units. Our first aim is to have and play cards that increase our Max Mana in early turns. Earth Wisp, Turtor, Take Root, Earth Scion, Gift of Aya, and Gigabloom are here to serve that purpose. Chromeousar is also an addition to reduce the costs of our large units and make them even easier to play.
While playing this deck, we can strategically plan how to play these cards easily by taking advantage of Titus’s ability. For example, let’s say this turn we have 1 mana and Take Root in hand. If we don’t, spend our mana this turn, next turn we will have 3 spendable mana instead of 2 and we can play Take Root. Thanks to this move on turn 3 we will have 4 Max Mana instead 3. By taking account Titus’s hero ability and planning your turns you can quickly increase your mana and access high-cost cards.
Big Boys and Bad Boys
As you may already noticed the deck contains 8 cards that cost 8 mana or more. We are able to have these bad boys thanks to the ramp play style. In some games, you may have the unlucky situation of drawing all these in your opening hand but that doesn’t happen very often. I think there’s no need for a deep explanation of why these cards are in the deck but what I can tell is if you can play Amaruath earlier than the others, you can have a nice boosted deck. Dracomantium is very effective against the Zomboid decks. Currently, Zoey and Bouran decks are very popular so you can take advantage of the hero armor. B.F.R. also acts as a strong removal, threat, and boosting force. Tiamat and Cthonos usually serve as win conditions with their strong board control. Titanic is a great removal and force at the same time and gets even stronger with Shields up! Nihilos is also an all-rounder but usually more beneficial when played while you have 15 Max mana.
But Mooom! They Keep Hitting Me!
One of the risks of this deck is not having a strong early-game board presence since you don’t run any dominant early-game units. Your opponent may try to use this as an advantage and aggressively attack you or create a strong board. You may take some blows but the deck has a good amount of single and mass removal tools that can help you to hold the game such as; Hyper Beam and Burninate. Against very aggressive decks you may find yourself left with around 10 or even less than 10hp in some games but you usually make a very fun comeback with your big boys.
The deck also has a good number of drawing tools that can give you a decent hand size and options for play. Tune-Up is usually very easy to play in this deck and you can take advantage of Lotus’ reflection by drawing a copy of a bad boy and it can boost your mana next turn. For example, I like playing the reflection on turn 4 and playing Gigabloom next turn. Eldritch lore is there to help you in tight situations such as when you may need Touch the Sky, or you can use it to boost your mana when needed. If you have Burninante in hand you can target Gigabloom with Eldritch Lore. Rosewater Charm is also a nice small tool that can be handy when combined with Titus’s ability. You can enjoy a small 2 mana boost 🙂
Possible Replacements/ Additions
You may not have all the cards in this deck so I will provide some possible other options that you can add to this deck. Also, always try to experiment and create a version of the deck that suits you best.
Stoke: To be honest I don’t like the card and I think it benefits your opponent more than it benefits you, but it is a source for ramping and can replace other ramp tools if you don’t have one of them.
Ether Lemure: Its effect is easy to trigger, can act as a removal option and Etherwail can become useful with large units.
Giza: Simple low-cost unit to draw a big boy and deal with low-cost units.
Orchid: Not highly recommended but can boost units, make spells easier to cast, and can be combined with Titus’ ability.
Unstoppable Chop, Waterline, Chomp: Removal alternative
Treefolk Stomper: A nice alternative for new players since it exists in starter decks. Can act as a removal tool and a threat.
El Monstruo: Easy to play due to its cost and barrier that can protect it. Not very effective due to no effect.
Libra: An option if you are always having problems with HP
Mana Geyser: Only add if you don’t have enough options for ramping
Primal Clash: Only works if you already played all low-cost units or if you are running a no low-cost unit version of the deck
Dracoimpact: Same as Primal Clash
From other high-cost units, you can add them if you don’t have the ones in this deck. Meng’Long, Oni Bladelord, Sky Phoenix, Crystalceratops, and Armis Dropship, are not recommended.
I hope you enjoyed this deck guide. Since it is my first deck guide I may not have much experience in sharing the insights of the deck but hopefully, in the future, I will try to bring more fun decks and better guides. See you in the Sky!
